Sacramento Jewish Food Faire

Get Your Nosh On: Sacramento Jewish Food Faire Returns Oct 12

Get ready, Sacramento — your favorite nosh-fest is back and tastier than ever! The 48th Annual Sacramento Jewish Food Faire takes over the Scottish Rite Masonic Center on Sunday, October 12, and it’s bringing an irresistible lineup of food, fun, and culture that the whole family will enjoy.

Hosted by Congregation Beth Shalom, this beloved community tradition has been uniting people of all backgrounds for nearly five decades. Whether you’re a longtime latke lover or trying kugel for the first time, there’s something for everyone on the menu — and then some.

This year, the Food Faire features all the classics:
🥔 Golden, crispy latkes (don’t forget the applesauce and sour cream)
🥩 Tender, slow-cooked brisket sandwiches
🥟 Buttery, flaky knishes stuffed with potatoes or savory fillings
🍝 Sweet and savory noodle kugel that hits all the comfort food notes
🥯 And, of course, freshly baked bagels, schmears, and Jewish baked goods galore

But this year’s celebration brings some exciting new twists. For the first time ever, the festival will host Sacramento’s Best Bagel Contest, inviting local bakeries to compete for bagel bragging rights. Who has the perfect crust and the chewiest center? You get to taste and vote!

Also new this year is a Beer and Wine Garden, where guests 21 and over can sip on Israeli imports and local favorites while enjoying the festival’s live music lineup. From klezmer and folk to jazz and global grooves, the entertainment keeps the energy high and the toes tapping all afternoon.

Beyond the food and drink, the faire features a bustling vendor marketplace filled with artisan goods, handcrafted jewelry, Judaica, and more. It’s the perfect spot to start your holiday shopping or pick up a unique gift.

And here’s the best part: admission is completely free. You don’t have to be Jewish to enjoy Jewish food and culture — you just have to come hungry and ready for a great time.

Mark your calendars, bring the whole family, and come experience one of Sacramento’s most flavorful, festive traditions. This isn’t just an event — it’s a celebration of community, culture, and the power of good food to bring people together.
