Family friendly Pops in the Park, East SacramentoEvery Saturday in June, you can join neighbors and friends for a free outdoor concert under the stars. Whether you’re dancing in front of the stage or kicking back with a cool drink and a picnic spread, Pops in the Park is one of East Sac’s most cherished summer traditions.

🌟 June 6 @ East Portal Park — IdeaTeam & Ngaio Bealum
Enjoy a smooth, genre-blending vibe from a collective of Sacramento musicians, IdeaTeam, delivering experimental funk, soul, and R&B grooves that flow effortlessly between originals and fresh takes on classics. Joining them, Ngaio Bealum brings an eclectic mix of hip-hop, funk, and high-energy storytelling, creating a laid-back yet lively atmosphere full of rhythm and personality.

Catch a night of raw, homegrown energy with Nickel Slots bringing their alt-country and Americana roots rock sound, full of grit and storytelling. Lewd Jaw turns it up with fast, high-energy punk and an unapologetic edge, while Wisteria adds a dynamic mix of youthful talent and rock spirit, blending passion and powerful performances into an unforgettable vibe.Apple Z lights up the night with a powerhouse mix of rock, pop, and hits from every era.

Alongside her, Clemón Charles brings a smooth, genre-fusing sound—mixing West Indies folk, alternative rock, and jazz with a sultry, raspy edge that adds warmth and depth to the night.
🌟 June 27 @ Glenn Hall Park — Joy & Madness & Jakhari Smith
Joy and Madness, a high-energy Sacramento funk and soul band, will keep you dancing with their groovy rhythms and bold horn lines. While, Jakhari Smith brings a soulful blend of hip-hop, R&B, and raw emotion, offering a powerful, reflective vibe to balance the upbeat funk.

🕕 Music starts at 6 PM — but savvy locals know to show up early to grab a prime spot!

Proceeds from on-site food, drink, and raffle sales go directly back into supporting East Sacramento’s parks and neighborhood programs. So, when you come to enjoy the music, you’re also giving back to the community.
